After the one year Xbox exclusive window, Rise of the Tomb Raider has finally come to PS4. Not only has it come to PS4 but it comes with many additional features and bonus content along with PSVR support.

If you haven't played Rise of the Tomb Raider yet and were a fan of the previous Tomb Raider game it's definitely worth picking up. In Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara follows in her father’s footsteps to discover an ancient treasure but along the way discovers many dark secrets that may get her killed. There's plenty of action and challenging puzzles to work out which makes Rise of the Tomb Raider a joy to play.

The 20th Anniversary edition adds the new Blood Ties DLC along with the existing Cold Darkness Awakened and Baba Yaga DLC that were released earlier in the year. The Blood Ties DLC is in two parts with part 1 having you explore Lara’s childhood home and unravelling family secrets. This story mode is a lot more slow paced and it involves searching the mansion for clues to locate Lara’s Mothers will. Tomb Raider fans will enjoy unravelling more about Lara’s childhood as well as discovering a few easter eggs.

Part 2 has you fighting hordes of the undead which have overrun the childhood home. You also have the option to compete with friends and take on community challenges. This edition also includes a Co-Op endurance mode where you and a friend can raid tombs while working together and try to survive to reach the top of the leaderboards.

The Blood Ties single player story mode can be played on PSVR which unfortunately we couldn't try out due to not having the available hardware.

In conclusion, the Rise of the Tomb Raider, 20th Anniversary edition is a great game that's now finally available on PS4. It looks and runs great on the PS4 and there's plenty of story to unravel. All the additional content in the 20th Anniversary edition makes it a worthy investment, especially if you own a PSVR.
