HyperX are considered to be one of the best gaming headset manufacturers on the market. Their latest headset, the HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset which is the very first wireless gaming headset from HyperX.

HyperX boasts it’s latest 2.4GHz Cloud Flight Wireless Headset with having the longest battery life compared to any of its wireless competitors with an outstanding 30 hours before needing to put these guys back on charge. This is perfect for anyone that enjoys long game sessions or even for any of you out there that are full time streamers.

The HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset is mostly made of plastic, but are pretty solid so they don’t feel cheap. They also have soft, plush ear cups that sat very snug and didn’t become uncomfortable at any stage during long gaming sessions. As for the microphone, it is detachable, so if you don’t plan on talking to anyone or just want to use the headphones on the train ride to work, you can just pop the microphone out or plug in back in depending on your situation. The headset also has some built-in lighting that will light up the HyperX logos on each earcup.

As for controls The HyperX Cloud Flight has a volume knob on the right earcup, though unfortunately they don’t allow you to change game and chat volume independently like other headsets on the market. If you decide you want to use them as a wired headset, you can by using the provided 3.5mm analogue cable. This plugs into the left ear cup beside the micro USB charge port and the mic jack.

So how do they perform? Well, like I said earlier, the Cloud Flight has a whopping 30 hour battery life meaning you’ll get an entire day’s use out of them before you’ll need to put them back on charge. Now, this headset only has 2.0 stereo output so you won’t have the same surround-sound awareness that other headsets out there provide. That’s not to say the these headphones don’t sound great, because they do thanks to two giant 50mm drivers. The gunplay in Wolfenstein 2 sounded amazing beating in my ears and the creepy atmosphere in The Evil Within 2 felt even more unsettling. As for range, the Cloud Flight's range is also pretty impressive with a reliable connection that allows you to walk around the room or behind a wall without any loss of audio quality.

As for getting them up and running, the HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset is super easy to get going. To play audio wirelessly from your PC, all you need to do is plug its USB dongle into your PC and the Cloud Flight pairs in seconds. The same USB dongle will also work on the PS4 and PS4 Pro. As for Xbox owners, you'll get audio out of them by plugging them into your Xbox Controller using the cable provided, but you won’t get any chat out of it.

The HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset is another great option for anyone looking for a good quality and great sounding wireless headset. While it's a shame wireless support for Xbox One isn't included, anyone looking for a completely wireless option on PC or PS4 can’t go wrong with the HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset.
