I came into a dilemma when my wires snapped on my current gaming headset and needed a new pair, Luckily enough I was given the opportunity to try out Plantronics RIG 500 PRO E-Sports Edition Headset. I've been through many different brands in the past and so far my favorite has been Turtle Beach's X12, but after playing wih these for a few days I think i've found my new favorite.

I found that the quaity was fenomanial, I've never had anything of this quality before on my head. The sound quality was fantastic, so crisp and clear thanks to the high-resolution audio from the vibration-dampening earcups, finely tuned acoustic chambers and powerful 50mm drivers that create an immersive gaming experience.

Other then that everything else from gameplay to music tracks was perfect. I tested overlays of game audio with music coming from Spotify and then party chat and everything was fine and handled all the audio trackng except for voice chat which was strange, but not that big of a draw back for me as most voice chat audio was well leveled and maintained after some fine tuning on my devices.

The look and estetics of the RIG 500 Pro really live up to the RIG name. Looking like some post-apoc junkrats best dreams with it's beautiful sleak grey stainless exo skeletal design with framework so eligantly thought out. At first glance they seemed like they would be heavy but are actually much lighter then expected with the adjustment capabilites for your head is designed with comfort and support in mind. And unlike most other headset brands I could wear these for hours and not get a headache with them squeezing against my head. They also came with two different sets of ear pads, one was leatherette and wicking while the others were full moisture wicking fabric for better breathability, which actually felt way softer in my opinion.

The RIG 500 Pro's also features the option of two cables, one designed for Xbox One and PS4 controllers while the other one for PC's, Phones,Tablets and Laptops. They both feature two very different looks as the console cable was thin cable with an volume adjuster at the end close to the controller to keep it out of the way. The other was a flat tangle-free style cable with the volume adjuster postitined halfway up the line, and in the end I prefered to use the PC cable more as i'm use to the volume sitting closer. The only draw back with the cables at first was that I wasn't use to the no mute button feature on them, but instead feature a mute switch when the microphone was placed into the upright lock postion. This took a little while to get use to but I found it to be actually very nifty and more useful in the end.

Overall I really liked the Plantronics RIG 500 PRO E-Sports Edition Headset and are now my main go-to headset because of the quality, design, weight and overall durability, They are perfect for all my audio needs.
