ASUS ProArt (PA401) Wood Edition Case (Hardware) – Review

YouTube Thumbnails 2025 03 06T151643.089 https://www.mkaugaming.com/all-review-list/asus-proart-pa401-wood-edition-case-hardware-review/

The ASUS ProArt PA401 Wood Edition Case with a tempered glass panel, featuring an ash wood open grille certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, epitomises elegance and functionality while promoting sustainability.

The most prominent feature to stand out is the open grille design on the front panel, with the wooden elements spaced in 18mm intervals to allow for maximum airflow. Immediately behind this sits two 160mm ring fan blades, drawing plenty of air into the system, though two 140mm fans can replace these, and a single 120mm fan on the rear panel draws the warm air out.

These are pre-connected to an internal speed controller that can support up to five case fans in total, and a simple switch on the front I/O panel will either set these at full speed or allow the system to determine their performance automatically.

Alongside this sits two USB 3.2 Type-A Ports, a combination 3.5mm audio socket, a USB 3.2 Type-C, and lockable power and reset switches, a handy feature when you have inquisitive young ones or you’re prone to inadvertently hitting buttons.

This neatly lines up with the tip panel, offering a location to install either two additional fans, with support for two 120mm or two 140mm, or radiator/AIO cooling systems with sizes from 120mm to 240mm.

The unit we were supplied with came with a single-tempered glass panel, meaning we could proudly display the internal components and still appreciate some RGB should we be so inclined. This side, along with the metal panel on the other side, easily came away with the push of a button.

Still, to prevent accidental ejection of the glass side, the read of the case also features a locking mechanism similar to the one found near the power switch.

By removing these panels, you’re given easy access to everything inside the case, including four 2.5” bay drives, with two also supporting 3.5” holes for feeding cables into the in-built cable management system, and a large cut-out to aid with installing AIO cooling systems.

Not only does this mean that it’s easier to build your PC, but you’ll maintain the clean and elegant style that the ASUS ProArt PA401 Wood Edition Case already exudes.

Clean black panels accented with a dark ash wood front grille and the stylised ProArt emblem deliver high professionalism, oozing with elegance while providing optimal airflow. If you’re hoping your next build will be more of a statement piece, the ASUS ProArt PA401 Wood Edition Case with a tempered glass panel gives you everything you could ever need.
