ASUS is one of the leading brands in PC gaming hardware with its ROG line of products. ROG stands for Republic of Gamers for a reason, and we are fortunate to get our hands on their latest mouse products, the ROG Harpe Ace Mini and the ROG Polling Rate Booster, now available worldwide.

The ROG Harpe Ace Mini by ASUS has a very similar design to the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition Wireless Gaming Mouse, but it is smaller, hence its name. In the box, you will find the mouse in a black fabric bag, the USB dongle with an extender included, the USB paracord and rubber grips that can be attached to the mouse. The ROG Polling Rate Booster is sold separately.

This small ambidextrous mouse is available in black or white with a matte finish. The rubber grips help you grip the mouse better. It is lightweight and easy to move, though its small size is best suited for users with small hands. Those with bigger hands won’t find this mouse comfortable because it can cause aches and pains, so they should look at something more suited to their size. Thankfully, ASUS has a wide variety available.

Each button is bouncy but durable, using micro switches. Underneath, you will find four slick slide pads strategically positioned in each corner for the ultimate glide. Here, you can also find three buttons: the DPI button, a pairing button, and a slide button to switch between the three modes of connectivity. A surprisingly efficient feature is a sneaky little USB dongle storage compartment to keep your wireless connection safe during wired usage.

There are three ways to connect this mouse to the computer: Bluetooth, wired, or with the USB dongle, which is located under the mouse and can easily be removed. Whichever connection type you choose, the mouse feels smooth and has lag-free connectivity.

The ROG Polling Rate Booster that we also received is a USB device made for gamers. It plugs into the computer and has its own slot to plug in either the USB cable or USB dongle. Using this method will boost the polling rate from 1000 Hz up to 8000 Hz, greatly reducing input delay and providing more precise aiming. This is an excellent device for competitive gamers, where timing and precision are crucial, especially in shooting games.

Downloading the Armoury Crate Gear program will give you more customisation options to personalise the mouse to your liking.

Overall, ASUS has made another fantastic mouse that’s on the smaller side, best for users with small hands. The ROG Harpe Ace Mini is perfect for travellers and has most of the same functions as its bigger counterparts.

  • Refined shape design: A smaller form of the pro-approved Harpe Ace mouse, made to fit a wider spectrum of hand shapes and grip types.
  • 49-gram ultra-lightweight: Optimised weight design to ensure maximum stability and control when flicking and tracking.
  • ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor: 42,000 dpi optical sensor with track-on-glass technology.
  • ROG Optical Micro Switches: Instant actuation with every crisp click and a 100-million-click lifespan.
  • Tri-mode connectivity: Flexibility with wired USB, low-latency 2.4 GHz RF, plus Bluetooth® mode.
  • Ultrafast wireless response: Wireless performance with minimalised delays, maximised cursor precision with ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, and compatibility with the ROG Polling Rate Booster.
  • ROG Omni Receiver: Wirelessly connects to multiple supported devices with a single receiver.
  • ROG Paracord and 100% PTFE mouse feet: Quality materials facilitate smooth and fast movements.
  • Onboard control: Allows frequently used mouse settings to be adjusted directly on the go.
  • Available in Black & Moonlight White.
