After the High On Life 2 official trailer made its showstopping debut at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8th, Squanch Games is thrilled to share a detailed look at the stunning, high-impact visuals behind the visionary mayhem. In a nearly 11 minute asset created alongside the Xbox Studios team, Squanch Games’ Chief Creative Officer, Mikey Spano, offers exclusive insight into gaming’s next favorite first-person shooter.

Serving as a sequel installment to the 2022 record-breaking hit High On Life, High On Life 2 puts its players on a cosmic quest against an intergalactic conspiracy that threatens the fate of humanity. Users can expect the return of Squanch icons including Sweezy, Gus, Creature, and Knifey – the bloodthirsty star of 2023’s High On Knife DLC.

Having accrued a player base of over 20 million in the 2.5 years since High On Life’s inception, Squanch Games is eager to indulge its global fans with even more cosmic content. As Spano notes in the breakdown, “We’ve been working really hard on this game, and so much love, weird passion, and creativity has gone into every detail.”

High On Life 2’s trailer marks the first appearance of not only unseen exotic locales, but several dynamic weapons – Spano introduces the latest additions as Travis and Jan, Sheath, and Bowie (aptly named as your all-new bow and arrow). Beyond the arsenal expansion sure to elevate the combative gameplay experience, High On Life 2 promises to get up close and personal with an eccentric cast of bizarre and subversive lifeforms voiced by an all-star comedy cast.

The second installment “…takes place 5 years after the events of the first game,” Spano notes. “The end result is that you’re now wanted by the same bounty network you used to work for. Surprised? In High On Life 2, you’re the bad guy. Being a wanted outlaw changes things quite a bit for you, your family, and your friends.” The adventure begins this winter – High On Life 2 is available to wishlist NOW on XBOX, PLAYSTATION, STEAM, and THE EPIC GAMES STORE! The game will also be available DAY ONE on Xbox Game Pass.
