Australians of any age will recognise the iconic blocks of Tetris and, thanks to Red Bull, these blocks are heading to new heights in the high-flying global tournament, Red Bull Tetris®. Aussies can scan the QR code on the back of the Limited Edition Red Bull Tetris Can to enter the game.
Open to players 18+ years of age, of all skill levels, the tournament welcomes competitors from around the globe with only the best advancing to the World Final, taking place December 11–13, 2025, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. There, the final game will be played beneath the desert sky as over 2,000 airborne drones bring the first official live playable Tetris game to life inside the legendary Dubai Frame.
Selling more than 520 million copies, Tetris is an iconic video game that’s been beloved by millions across the globe for more than 40 years. Offering players new twists on the classic gameplay, Red Bull Tetris introduces special power-ups to alter the playing field, a unique Golden Tetrimino and fast-paced, time-limited rounds. With dynamic mechanics, including gravity shifts and speed boosts, every game is set to bring a fresh new experience to fans.
Qualifiers in Australia are now open, hopeful competitors can put their skills to test on mobile at www.redbulltetris.com to vie for a spot at the top of the Australian leaderboard. Fans will be able to game in-person at PAX Australia from October 10 – 12 for their shot to compete at the National Final, before qualifiers close on October 31, 2025.
The eight top scoring players on the national leaderboard will be invited to go head-to-head on PC at an in-person, 1v1 format National Finals at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Red Bull Gaming Hub, on November 14, for a chance to represent their country in Dubai. Versatility is key in this unique multiplatform format!

The winner of Australia’s National Final will gear up for the ultimate Tetris showdown, as top players from more than 55 participating countries converge in Dubai from December 11–13 at the Red Bull Tetris World Final. The World Final spans three unforgettable days across the desert and city, blending immersive experiences, music performances, and special guest appearances. In the lead-up to the main event, finalists will enter a seeding round to determine their placement in the Global Tournament. From there, they’ll battle it out in intense 1v1 matchups. Then, on December 13th, the final game will take place live in the sky rendered by over 2,000 synchronized drones, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai Frame in a captivating gaming spectacle.
