You’ll see the Snakebyte logo in the top left corner, with Nintendo Switch 2 in the bottom right corner, providing a quick glance at what this product is compatible with. There is a product photo at the centre of the front of the packaging, with an illuminated red design behind it, which really makes the entire thing pop and stand out.

Once you’ve removed the product from the box, you will be greeted with a compact, matte-black finish, featuring subtle branding on the sides and a twin slot design on top, which fits the Joy-Cons nicely and snugly. There are LED indicators across the front that, at a glance, indicate whether the Joy-Cons are charging.

The entire product complements the Nintendo Switch 2’s matte black appeal well. I was also impressed that it had a weighted base, so the product itself didn’t feel cheap and sat nicely on my desk, charging my Joy-Cons 

In terms of functionality, the Snakebyte Twin Charge S2 keeps things simple and efficient. The included charging cord is 1 metre in length and features a USB-C style connector, providing modern compatibility with a reliable connection. I would have liked the cable to be a little longer for better placement options in my setup.

I like that this charging solution was plug-and-play; it didn’t matter whether it was plugged into a wall socket or the PC, as no drivers or fiddling were required.

The dual slots on top are designed to fit the Joy-Cons snugly, preventing wobbling and the risk of breaking. This ensures a consistent connection for uninterrupted charging. The LED indicators on the front clearly show the charging progress, starting from red, and when the charging process is completed, they change to green.

The entire product is a no-nonsense solution that does exactly what it promises, without requiring any software installation.
