Get ready to dip, dive and splash your way into the wet and chaotic world of ‘Waterpark Simulator’. A fun and unpredictable first-person simulation game that focuses heavily on park management while incorporating hilarious ragdoll physics. Created by popular YouTuber, Caylus, Waterpark Simulator is published and developed by CayPlay and is available now on Steam.
It’s always been your dream to run a successful waterpark. You’ve just quit your job and spent your life savings on an old, abandoned park. As the sole creator and developer of your new rundown lot, it’s your job to manage a successful waterpark while maintaining the ever-present needs of customers. Feed them, mop up after them, hand out flyers to them and teach the ticket cheaters a lesson or two through violence! Shove panicked guests off of diving boards and save guests from drowning (or run the risk of bad reviews and ambulance fines).
You can even spray smelly parkgoers with water to prevent them from stinking up the place. Waterpark Simulator is a highly interactive game that offers players countless hours of park building and guest management to look forward to. Did I mention that it’s wildly amusing interacting with the guests? You can barely hand out flyers without making people crumple into a heap on the ground.
Before officially diving into this wacky world of waterpark management, I recommend the tutorial as it’s great for showing new players how to begin maintaining their new waterpark. You will quickly become familiar with the main tools provided to help build your park. Beginning the game with your sledgehammer, you use it to destroy trash and demolish buildings to make way for new builds.

Next, we have your standard hammer, which is used to build items and repair broken objects. You’ll use this hammer frequently to repair objects around your park, so don’t hesitate to upgrade it ASAP.
I recommend repairing most damaged items at the end of the day when the waterpark closes (daily at 6 PM) so you don’t have to be inconvenienced by broken objects during open hours. Another essential tool you’ll use often: Your mop. The mop is used to clean up water puddles left behind from drenched poolgoers.
Make sure to keep on top of these puddles to avoid any guest injuries and bad waterpark ratings. Although these puddles are dangerous… They’re also my favourite way to watch the ragdoll action in full swing. I laughed so many times watching not only the guests but my own character get absolutely yeeted across the waterpark when slightly touching a puddle.
After becoming familiar with your tools, you’ll be tasked with rebuilding the waterpark from scratch. Press B to open the Build Menu and peruse waterpark additions. Here you’ll find items and structures that are essential for running a smooth and successful waterpark operation. Ranging from builds such as waterslides and pools to decorative items like palm trees and water fountains, you can decorate till your heart is content.

As you progress through the game, you’ll frequently earn XP by completing tasks and maintaining your park. XP progression unlocks research points, which are used at the Research Table, located in the tool shed. The Research Table is essential in upgrading your waterpark and making life easier on you as the owner.
Things get chaotic very quickly once a new work day begins, so you’ll want to upgrade your tools and unlock hireable staff as soon as you can. Although the game can get quite hectic, it has straightforward mechanics that make it fun to quickly jump in and start designing your waterpark. It doesn’t take long at all to get into the flow of park management.
Now it’s time to open your park and start selling entry tickets to customers. It’s important to sell guests the correct ticket type, or else they won’t enter your park. You have the option to choose specific ticket types to sell when opening your park based on time of day, age and pass type. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for unruly guests! These include your ticket cheaters, perverts and vandals. These are the guests that we commit violence against. You simply walk up to the person and shove them with the right-click to remove them from your park.
I wasn’t expecting the sheer force you shove them with, and it was truly hilarious watching the silly game physics happen right in front of me. You’ll also notice while playing that your park is conveniently across the road from a store called Caymart. Here you can stock up on food for your guests and buy posters for advertising. Don’t forget to utilise your Y-Pad by pressing TAB to gain access to hireable staff and see park statistics, too.
Waterpark Simulator is a noticeably bright and colourful game with vibrant graphics. Offering fun Summer vibes, it grabs and holds your attention and keeps the game fun and lighthearted, perfect for a waterpark simulation game. You may also recognise special cameo appearances by popular streamers with a likeness to CaseOh “Queso” and Markiplier “Mark E. Plier.” Well-known streamer, Valkyrae, is apparently the new voice actor for the seagulls that fly overhead. I’m telling you – this game is so nonchalant and entertaining. You can also randomise your character’s appearance by accessing a mirror inside your park.
Whimsical tunes are played in-game to keep spirits up while tending to the park and its customers, but they become repetitive and slightly maddening after enough hours are spent in-game. After purchasing a jukebox, you’ll have the welcome option to pick which jovial tunes you’d like to listen to. Having an option to change up the minimal music was nice, but the music options available could definitely be more interesting and engaging.
Waterpark Simulator is already a fun and time-consuming experience as is, but the developers of the game also plan to roll out many updates in the future, adding a vast amount of content to the game, including multiplayer, VIP guests and vehicles. So if you like the game as is, prepare for even more content in your future. I didn’t want to stop upgrading my park and progressing through the Research Table to utilise all the upgrades.
I spent many hours building, upgrading and maintaining my waterpark with a feverous need. Every time I hit a new milestone, I instantly wanted to reach another one. This game includes hours of fun for gamers, especially if you’re a fan of sim management. The amount of management involved: repairing, building, cleaning, serving customers food, selling tickets, saving people from drowning – the list goes on,is highly addictive. When you combine all of that with intuitive in-game controls and seriously funny physics, you can’t go wrong…
