Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition Mouse (Hardware) – Review

What do you get when you combine one of Razer’s top tournament mice with an Esports legend? Well, you get the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition, a wireless gaming mouse that brings pro-level precision and performance into the hands of people like you and me. There is one thing missing, which is the RGB lighting, but that being said, this mouse is designed for raw performance and built for those who want speed and accuracy without the lighting being a nuisance. It allows you to play as the unkillable demon king.

Lee “Faker” Sang-Heyok is a name most people know in the competitive gaming world. Rising to fame with his first World Championship win in 2013, he quickly cemented his legacy with additional victories in 2015, 2016, 2023, and 2024, making him a five-time world champion. He is known as the “Unkillable Demon King” for his unmatched skill, strategic brilliance, and relentless dominance, which makes him one of the biggest names in League of Legends history.

Razer has stepped away from its iconic black and green aesthetic for this special edition, opting for a black and red packaging design. The Razer logo has been transformed into a bold red colour. I have to admit I kinda dig it. Opening the box, you are immediately greeted by a stunning Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition Wireless Gaming Mouse, and the best way to describe the mouse is that it looks like a collector’s piece.

The mouse is a bright red crimson with a demon mask at the bottom, where you place your palm and Faker’s signature on the right-hand side clicker. The mouse is something I would want to display more than use just because of how crisp it looks.

Esports continue to evolve, and so does the demand for high-performance peripherals that keep pace with the current competitive scene. The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition embodies the evolution that has refined its predecessor. The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition features an enhanced ergonomic shape to maximise comfort and performance. The key design improvements you will find are an updated side button layout for improved access in those sticky situations.

The rear hump has been raised for the best hand support, and with the pronounced finger grooves and flatter sidewalls, it can be used in a variety of grip styles and hand sizes.  The mouse weighs 54 grams, which makes it ultra-light. Razer’s Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 delivers the precision you need. With a 35,000 DPI, 750 IPS max speed and 70G of acceleration, you won’t be scratching your head wondering what is happening.

If you are running low on battery and need to plug it in, Razer has put the charging point in the front of the mouse, and being USB-C, it becomes quite convenient to keep gaming whilst charging and being compatible with most cords. There is a programmable DPI button on the bottom of the mouse, which has become normal for Razer’s mice. It is a good addition, as it can change it on the go if needed. The one thing that works well with the adjustable DPI is the larger mouse feet, which are preferred by over 60% of professional players worldwide and allow it to glide over most surfaces.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is powered by Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology, which delivers ultra-low latency and allows for peak gameplay. This, paired with the Razer HyperPolling 8000 Hz, which is used with the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, adds a response rate you’ve never had before.

The mouse has Razer’s Gen-3 Optical Mouse Switch, which has a 90-million-click lifecycle, and if that was not good enough, it has a 0.2 ms actuation with zero debounce delay. I’ve never quite used a mouse like it. You can have up to 95 hours of battery time, which takes away the question of whether you will run out of charge mid-way through a sweaty game.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition has a convenient on-the-fly DPI button on the bottom of the mouse that does not require software. However, if you want to use software, you have the option of using Razer Synapse. This allows you to program the button to do what you want, fine-tuning the DPI settings or remapping it to something else. You don’t need to use the software, but it adds that level of customisability to the mouse.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition Wireless Mouse is the perfect mixture of performance and aesthetics inspired by the legendary Faker himself. It makes an outstanding choice for competitive and casual gaming or even a perfect display piece for those content creation backdrops. Whether you want to dominate gaming or add that little statement piece, the Faker Edition delivers. You can get yours from Razer ANZ’s website for AU$ 295.95.
