While the ASUS ROG Flow Z13-KJP may be the centrepiece of the KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS collaboration, it wasn’t the only piece of hardware that arrived on my desk. Joining it was the ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset, a limited-edition version of ASUS’s already capable wireless gaming headset, redesigned to fit perfectly within the Ludens-inspired universe.
Like the Flow Z13-KJP, the ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset immediately stands out from the moment you take it out of the box. Rather than relying on the aggressive styling often associated with gaming headsets, ASUS and KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS have created something that feels far more premium and distinctive.
The white colour scheme, subtle gold accents, custom Ludens-inspired detailing, and exclusive Armoury Crate theme all help reinforce the feeling that this is more than just a gaming accessory.
Despite its premium appearance, the ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset remains surprisingly practical. Weighing just over 320 grams, it’s noticeably lighter than many competing wireless gaming headsets, making it comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions.
ASUS also includes two sets of ergonomic D-shaped ear cushions, allowing users to choose between a faux-leather finish and a cloth variant, depending on their comfort preferences.
Comfort is only part of the equation, and a gaming headset typically lives or dies by its sound quality. In that respect, the ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset delivers where it matters most.
At its heart, it features custom 50mm titanium-plated diaphragm drivers designed to reduce distortion while producing detailed, accurate audio. This translates into sounds that feel balanced and natural across a wide range of content. Explosions have impact, dialogue remains clear, and environmental effects carry enough detail to help immerse you in whatever world you’re exploring.
The ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset consistently delivered impressive clarity, regardless of what I was using it for. Footsteps and directional cues remained easy to identify during competitive gameplay, while cinematic titles benefited from the headset’s ability to reproduce subtle environmental details that are often lost on lower-end audio equipment.
One of the standout features is support for high-resolution 24-bit, 96kHz audio over the 2.4 GHz wireless connection. Combined with ASUS’ refined wireless tuning, audio feels remarkably detailed and responsive, helping the headset punch well above what many people expect from a wireless gaming headset.
Connectivity is another area where the ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset excels. Thanks to tri-mode support, users can connect via low-latency 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or a traditional 3.5mm cable. Compatibility extends across PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and even Xbox consoles through the wired connection.
The inclusion of ASUS’s ROG SpeedNova wireless technology ensures a stable connection with impressively low latency while maintaining excellent battery efficiency. Unlike my current headset, which unfortunately does not support SpeedNova, I never experienced any noticeable dropouts or connection issues, even while moving around the house.
DualFlow Audio allows the headset to maintain simultaneous connections to both a Bluetooth device and a 2.4GHz source, and it’s one of those features that sounds like a luxury until you’ve used it, after which it quickly becomes difficult to live without.
The detachable 10mm super-wideband boom microphone captures voices with a surprising amount of detail and natural tone. Team communication remained clear throughout testing, and several friends commented on the noticeable improvement in microphone quality compared to my usual setup.
When it comes to battery life, ASUS has gone all-in with a setup rated for up to 110 hours of use in 2.4GHz mode. Even more impressive is the fast-charging support, with a quick 15-minute charge providing up to 11 hours of additional use. I spent more time trying to remember where I left the charging cable than actually worrying about running out of battery.
The ASUS ROG Delta II-KJP Gaming Headset successfully combines premium audio performance, excellent comfort, versatile connectivity, and outstanding battery life into a package that feels worthy of the KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS collaboration. While the exclusive design elements will naturally appeal most to fans of Ludens and Hideo Kojima’s work, the headset itself stands on its own merits as a genuinely excellent wireless gaming headset.
