Built on the ASUS B860M Max Gaming AX motherboard and placed inside ROG’s first-ever gaming case with glass panels on both top and side panels, the ROG G700 (2025) Desktop Gaming PC is ready to handle anything.

While several configurations are available, the one we received came with the Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, running at up to 5.3GHz, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 PRIME 16GB GDDR7 GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Top that off with a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and you have a very capable system.

At first glance, the case doesn’t appear to offer anything special. If it weren’t for the ROG Slash and Fearless Eye logos adorning the front glass panel, you could easily mistake it for a generic glass case, but this all changes on closer inspection. Held in place with clips and a thumbscrew, the extended glass panel on the side provides unobstructed views of the internal components, lit by Aura Sync-capable RGB accents.

Three fans are mounted behind the glass front panel, drawing air into the system through air intakes hidden behind the front panel, with a fourth case-mounted fan on the rear pushing the air out.

The model we received came with an AIO liquid cooling system, complete with two additional fans and a 240mm radiator mounted to the top panel. This system not only helps to keep the CPU temperature stable but also further increases airflow within the case by helping to draw cool air through the vent on the bottom of the case.

The case-mounted I/O panel runs alongside the magnetically attached dust filter. It has two 3.5mm ports for a microphone and a headphone output and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports: two Type-A and one Type-C.

The motherboard I/O panel has ten USB ports, including a 20 Gbps Type-C port and nine Type-A ports ranging from standard USB 2.0 to 10 Gbps. These sit next to a 2.5GB Ethernet port, the ports for connecting the included WiFi antenna, and three audio jacks.

Regarding performance, the ROG G700 (2025) Desktop Gaming PC exceeded my expectations. I wanted to push the capabilities as far as I could with what I had available, so I used Cyberpunk 2077 as the testing platform. With the resolution set to 1440, I enabled Ray-Tracing and set it to Ultra. I was pleasantly surprised to see the framerate hovering around 90 FPS – a nice balance of crispy details and buttery motion.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an ROG product if you couldn’t boost the performance a little more. As we’ve come to expect, the ROG G700 (2025) Desktop Gaming PC comes with a host of applications to do just that, such as the Armoury Crate app, which not only helps you tweak your settings but also provides a one-stop shop for downloading updates or adjusting your RGB through Aura Sync.

From the outside looking in, the ROG G700 (2025) Desktop Gaming PC is a bit of a sleeper. The case is deceptively simple at a glance, but the combination of premium components tucked inside unleashes a whole new world of performance. If you want a ready-to-go PC that easily handles anything you throw at it, the ROG G700 (2025) Desktop Gaming PC must be on your consideration list.
