Can You Play Blackjack On PS5?

Sometimes you might want to skip the long-story games and opt for something more casual and fast-paced. Well, casino games are perfect for that. You lie back on your couch, grab your DualSense controller engage with some mind-exercising games like Blackjack.

But can you actually play Blackjack on PS5? Well, the short answer is YES! You can definitely play plenty of casino games, including blackjack, on PlayStation 5.

However, there are different types of games you can engage with that will allow you to get the true Blackjack experience.

We can sort them into a few different categories: casino-focused games (games primarily made for playing games like Blackjack, poker, roulette, and slots) and standard games with casino mini games (these are games that have nothing to do with the casino, but there are some casino mini games you can play)

Step One: Download a Blackjack Game

If all you want is a simple game where cards are dealt and you make a quick decision whether to hit, stand, split, or double down, you should head over to the PlayStation Store and download a casino-focused game.

There are plenty of casino-focused games available on the store. Most of them are quite old, and it would be hard to find a newer title, but that’s no issue since some of them are really good.

The best thing about these games is that some of them come with an online multiplayer function and an entirely immersive online casino experience. This means that you can hang out with your friends on the digital casino floor, play some casino games like blackjack, and socialize.

So, which are the best casino-focused games on PS5?

The Four Kings Casino & Slots

If you like a game that would feel like playing GTA but only with a casino twist, then The Four Kings Casino & Slots is the perfect game for you. This is an avatar-driven, 3D casino world, where you can create your character, enter the casino floor, walk around, talk to people, and engage with games including blackjack, slots, poker, roulette, and more.

According to YouBet, there are some differences between European and American blackjack. This game follows the European version of blackjack, where the dealer receives only one card that is face up.

This game also runs on PS5, despite being released for the PS4, and it is one of the best, if not the best, social casino multiplayer games on the market. The best thing about this game is the overall atmosphere. You’d feel just like you’ve walked into a real-world casino.

Vegans Infinite

If you want an even more immersive casino experience, then you should try Vegas Infinite (from the team behind PokerStars VR). As you’d probably expect, this is a VR casino experience, where you’ll find blackjack among the table lineups.

There are motion-controlled chips and cards, and plenty of customization options that are designed to recreate a real-world casino experience. This is a free-to-play game (of course, there are many in-game purchases), and it is perfect if you have a VR set at home.

Blackjack Inside Big Games

You can also play blackjack as a side activity in some blockbuster hits.

GTA Online (PS5 version of GTA V). The Diamond Casino & Resort includes blackjack tables, and Rockstar’s own patch notes show it’s still being maintained and fixed—so yes, it’s alive and well on current consoles. You convert in-game cash to chips and play on the floor just like you would in other activities in Los Santos.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (single-player on PS5 via backward compatibility). Do we need an introduction to RDR? I don’t think so.

RDR2’s story mode has old-west blackjack in saloons across the map, Rhodes, Van Horn, Blackwater, and sometimes your camp, so you can take a quiet break from bounty hunting for a few hands. Online is a different story: Red Dead Online offers poker, but not blackjack.

Can I Gamble for Real Money on PS5?

Nope. PlayStation’s storefront doesn’t offer real-money casino apps, and the blackjack experiences you’ll see are built around simulated chips. Store listings spell that out explicitly (“without risking your real money”), while social-casino pages emphasize chips as in-game currency. In other words: fun, practice, and social vibes, no cash-out.

One Regional Gotcha (Mostly for GTA Online)

If you’re trying to play blackjack at GTA’s Diamond Casino and you get a “feature not available” message, that’s usually because Rockstar restricts the casino floor in certain countries due to local gambling laws.

Coverage at launch documented dozens of affected regions, and that’s still the general rule of thumb today. The rest of GTA Online works normally; you just can’t use the tables in those places.

So… What Should You Download First?

If you want a straightforward 21 experience, grab a dedicated blackjack game and start dealing. If you want the social scene, custom outfits, chatty tables, and other games to hop between, install Four Kings on your PS5 and treat chips like time: set a limit and enjoy.

If you’ve got PS VR2 and you want the “I’m actually at the table” feeling, Vegas Infinite is your best shot today. And if you’re already living in Los Santos or the Old West, blackjack is a perfect side quest; just remember that in RDR2 it’s single player only.
