ESL Unveils New Leadership Structure Of Broadcast Team Across Asia-Pacific Japan

Today ESL announced a number of promotions for core members of its broadcast team within Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ) region. These structural changes come as ESL positions for further growth in APJ, and builds upon the success that has seen some of the largest game publishers in the region utilize ESL’s broadcast capabilities for high-quality productions.

“I’m proud to promote Damien, Phil and Brendan as they each take on more responsibility in leading our APJ broadcast teams.” said JB Hewitt, Managing Director, ESL Asia-Pacific Japan. “The wealth of experience that they bring to the region helps solidify ESL’s position as a leading esports broadcast provider across APJ.”

Damien Cauci, Head of TV Production Management, APJ

Effective immediately, Damien Cauci will take a new leadership role as Head of TV Production Management, APJ, with a focus on managing and growing ESL’s network and broadcast capabilities across Asia. In his long tenure of Producing & Directing esports broadcast in APJ Damien has lead Riot’s OPL & IWCA, Activision’s Call of Duty World League, Blizzard’s Overwatch Contenders, Microsoft’s Halo Championship Series (to name a few) and many of ESL’s own large scale esports broadcasts. In the new role, drawing on this wealth of experience, Damien will be positioned to best service ESL’s range of AAA productions across the region.

Phil Clear, Broadcast Manager, Asia

Originally located in Australia, Phil has recently relocated to Malaysia to lend his impressive resume to and lead the local ESL Malaysia team. Phil Clear will take on a new role as Broadcast Manager, Asia, drawing upon over 5 years of producing some of the world’s largest esports shows, including ESL One and Intel® Extreme Masters, to develop and build local broadcast teams within Asia.

Brendan Hill, Production Manager, Australia

In Australia, there are few that rival Brendan’s half-a-decade worth of experience in producing some of the highest quality esports broadcasts in the country and servicing some of the company’s most important clients and programs. In a new Production Manager, Australia role, Brendan Hill will manage the Australian broadcast team and drive the broadcast execution of Australia’s largest esports programs, including the LCO – Delivered by Menulog and ESL ANZ Champs – Delivered by Menulog, which are watched by millions of Australian esports fans each year.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of expanding ESL’s broadcast capabilities and offerings in the wider APJ region.” Said Damien Cauci, Head of TV Production Management APJ. “ESL has a very experienced and skilled team in both Australia and Malaysia, drawing on over 15 years of creating some of the highest quality esports broadcasts that the region, even the world, has ever seen. I’ve had the pleasure of growing our broadcast team in Australia over the last decade and now look to set my sights on developing new teams and working with partners on the ground in key countries across APJ.’’

ESL is always looking for talented, passionate individuals to join the broadcast team, with roles available or upcoming across ESL’s offices and expanded territories including Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and more.
