It’s easy to miss an epic livestream, and Twitch had so many! So Twitch are wrapping up 2022 with their favourite moments on Twitch, from epic knockouts during Twitch Rivals, IRL jumpscares to moments of pure joy, all likely to go down in the history books! Here are some of their highlight #TwitchRecap moments from 2022! 

Twitch gone wild 

Whether they’re playing, napping, slothing or just plain existing, animals are majestic creatures and this year quite a few became breakout stars on our streams. An excitable gorilla giving /BrySuperSaurus a not-so-casual jumpscare tops our list this year, alongside what has to be the wildest episode of /TrashTastePodcast, which saw various pythons, a lizard, among other creatures make their global debut. What a hoot! 

A Pride Month to remember

There’s always a lot going on in Grand Theft Auto role-play. You can take up a new career, enjoy some fun-filled virtual mayhem, and meet some incredible people. You can even band together for one heck of a Pride Parade, or at least that’s what happened in the NoPixel server, which saw /MadameGandalf busting out some great dance moves alongside the rest of the GTA community during Pride Month. 

Dodgeball delights

What happens when some of ANZ’s favourite streamers go head to head in an ever-expanding dodgeball universe? Only one of the most entertaining /TwitchRivals battles in history, with Team Dryness and Team Moistness going head to head at Twitch Rivals: Knockout City Showdown at DreamHack Melbourne, with /Nalopia doubling KOs to lead Team Dryness to absolute victory. 

A meme for the ages 

We can’t forget the many memes that were birthed in 2022. Our favourite has to be /Deano using the slight delay between his stream and the version on the Front Page to create an infinite wave. 👋

Epic wins like no other 

A special mention goes to the countless KOs and Victory Royales that have graced our screens this year. From Elden Ring, Fortnite, Valorant and more, there’s no better good luck charm than a supportive Chat, and some of our favourite battles are certainly going down in the history books. In the wise words of /caaaaate, “ayyyeeeee, let’s goooooo”. ANZ streamers really know how to celebrate a win!

Last but not least — we can’t close out 2022 without toasting to our ANZ community.
