Ann, a cool-headed special agent

Orphaned as a child, Ann was taken in by Holtz Flores and grew up with his other two adopted children, Nakamura (sister) and Ryan (brother), under the same roof of the Sicilian Jar. Ann showed great martial skills when she was still little. However, for the protection of her little brother, she always suppressed her abilities. Little did she know that behind her gift lay a secret that could destroy the world.

Ayane, a young genius hacker

A genius hacker born into a rich family, Ayane got into some kind of accident which makes it hard for her to accompany Ann on-site, instead, she gave her friend a bot that can project her hologram as a way of accompanying Ann on her adventure. She’s crazy about Ann, never tries to hide it, and is also the team clown.

A lively cyberpunk city

Combining 2D elements with 3D graphics, ANNO: Mutationem immerses you in a cyberpunk city—a steam-powered industrial town that never sleeps, constantly polluted by neon lights and mechanical noises. Beneath this thriving facade, however, is a seedy underworld of slums housing people infected by Mechanika Virus and labs crawling with bizarre creatures. And these are where secrets lie hidden, awaiting your investigation.

Ann’s quest to find her missing brother will take you through those places, and she will be helping people in need along the way.

Rich combat

During combat, Ann can use both melees and ranged attacks and has a variety of weapons at her disposal. Combining them strategically can make combat a lot easier.

Oddities beyond the reach of science
As Ann delves deeper into the dark side of the city, she more frequently encounters oddities bordering on the supernatural. As she fights her way through them, the power lying dormant in her stirs to life…
