Skybound Entertainment’s in-house game development studio, Quarter Up, launches the first major update for the tag fighting game Invincible VS on the 30^th of June and has dropped several additional reveals this past week, including a new Season 1 trailer debuting on stage at Evo 2026 and new details about the game’s 2026 content and competitive roadmap.

Invincible VS is the first major game to bring the Invincible universe to life, drawing from the acclaimed comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The game features beloved characters, iconic locations and devastating combos in a brutal, tournament-calibre 3v3 tag-team fighting experience that reflects Quarter Up’s commitment to hard-hitting combat and deep respect for the source material.

Season 1 of Invincible VS launches on the 30^th of  June, featuring new DLC characters Universa and The Immortal, a new Endless Arcade mode, and fresh cosmetics, among other updates. Both new fighters are available for purchase in the Year 1 Pass.

Universa and The Immortal join a stacked lineup of fan-favourite fighters, such as Mark Grayson (Invincible), Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Cecil Stedman, and many more. Universa is the Chosen of her people, tasked to travel the stars in search of energy to save her dying world. In Invincible VS she is a balanced, technical fighter whose power grows increasingly dangerous as her Boost Meter rises. The Immortal was a caveman who found an unknown energy source that made him, well… immortal, and he is now the superhero leader of the Guardians of the Globe. In Invincible VS he is a powerful Striker Fighter who excels at applying relentless pressure and closing the distance.

Quarter Up recently revealed the 2026 content and competitive roadmap for Invincible VS, which will include 3 ‘Seasons’ and 2 mid-Season patches, as well as participation in several fighting game tournaments in the coming months.

Each season will introduce a new fighter, fresh cosmetics and more. At Evo 2026 this past weekend, Quarter Up revealed that Angstrom Levy is the game’s third DLC fighter, to be released this October as part of Season 2, with plans to debut him for fans at Evo France. Angstrom will join the roster as a tricky zoner, using portals and projectiles to humiliate his opponents. Season 3 will close out the year, releasing this December.

In addition, Quarter Up recently detailed its Competitive Support Program, followed by a full reveal last week outlining plans for participation in several 2026 events, including VS Fighting XIV taking place July 24-26 in the UK and the Community Effort Orlando (CEO) 2026 in August. This follows a major presence for Invincible VS at Evo 2026 this past weekend, where hundreds competed for the title of Invincible VS champion on a global stage.

Invincible VS is in stores on PlayStation 5. The physical version of the game includes the base game on a PS5 physical disc, a controller layout card, and exclusive keepsake cards.
