SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have launched the Like a Dragon: Ishin! Combat Demo today, which is downloadable now on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X. Until 20th March, Xbox and PlayStation players who subscribe to the SEGA newsletter will also receive access to two exclusive in-game weapons upon the game’s release: the Bonechewer Katana and the Waterdrop Katana.

The Combat Demo for Like a Dragon: Ishin! will let aspiring samurai explore two action-packed segments of the game. Players can face off against enemies at Kiyomizu Temple, and then go toe to toe with three armoured warriors. The demo is free to download.

In this historical adventure, 1860s Kyo is plagued by widespread inequality, and one samurai will change the course of history in his search for justice. Take up the sword of Sakamoto Ryoma and venture to Kyoto to find your father’s killer, clear yourself of a framed murder, and restore your honour. In doing so, you will bring an end to the samurai era and forever change the future of Japan.
