WORLD BOSS officially emerges from early access and launches into 1.0 worldwide on PC/Steam! The ultimate evolution of WORLD BOSS brings with it a new map, overhauled perks, sprint, aim-down-sights, Party Join, and the ability for the most skilled players to end a WORLD BOSS match in an explosive way.

WORLD BOSS is a free-to-play multiplayer FPS where crisp movement and shooting mechanics are just part of the equation. Gladiators will need to use skill, luck and strategy to select and synergise random perks, weapons and equipment, manage their precious Lives, and play to their strengths to delete and dominate their opponents.

Ryan McMahon, GM of PC and Console at PlaySide Studios said WORLD BOSS has evolved substantially throughout Early Access.

“The goal of WORLD BOSS, and the reason we partnered with Fresh and LazarBeam, was to create a new kind of FPS gameplay experience that was easy to pick up and play yet as deep as you wanted it to be. WORLD BOSS is ready to be unleashed upon the world,” said McMahon.

The update includes the long-anticipated ability to play against your Steam Friends on the same server, and the new “Corruption Bomb” mechanic, that allows those topping the scoreboard to corrupt areas of the map and even bring the match to a thrilling conclusion!

“The all-new WORLD BOSS Arena is divided up into three distinct and diverse biomes called Hexes. In the latest update, once a player claims the World Boss crown, they can place Corruption Bombs in special areas that will detonate if not defused in time. Once the Bomb detonates, a massive explosion will engulf that Hex, effectively removing it from play until the World Boss is defeated. Any player that enters will suffer severe damage over time,” added McMahon.

“If all three Hexes are Corrupted, the game will end, giving the World Boss a victory screen and ending the match for everyone. Are you up to the challenge?”

WORLD BOSS 1.0 includes:

• An all-new Arena with diverse biomes, new gameplay options and enhanced graphical fidelity
• ADS for most weapons for enhanced accuracy
• New player sprint mechanic

• Total Perk overhaul alongside new Perks including Boss Killer, Airborne Aggression and Ratman
