A new in-game event called Champions Road is now live in Rocket League! Champions Road celebrates the highest-level of Rocket League Esports competition in the world, the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), and features Event Challenges and Rewards, a World Championship-themed Bundle, and two Limited Time Modes.
The Champions Road in-game event features:
New Champions Road Event Challenges – Players are able to complete Event Challenges to unlock various RLCS-themed Rewards, such as the Rocket League World Championship Trophy Topper, Pro-Tek Wheels, and Shmeedian Decal (Octane). Golden Trophies are also available as a Challenge Reward and will unlock Items from the Velocity, Triumph, and Vindicator Item Series.

There’s going to be more to Rocket League than meets the eye because Transformers content is available today!
The heroic Autobot Bumblebee is available in the Item Shop as the Bumblebee Car (with Bumblebee Wheels and Engine Audio) for 1600 Credits. In a Rocket League first, the Bumblebee Car will feature four converting celebration animations for winners during the Post-Game Spotlight screen, including a chance at a special animation for the match MVP.
The Transformers Bundle is also be available for 2500 Credits and includes the Bumblebee Car, Bumblebee Engine Audio, Bumblebee Wheels, Optimus Prime Goal Explosion (also available separately for 800 Credits), Blueprint Bumblebee Player Banner, and two Transformers-themed Player Titles. Fast & Furious races back into Rocket League today introducing a new car to the mix, the Fast & Furious Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.
The Fast & Furious Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat (Dominus hitbox) is now available in a Bundle including seven Decals, Fast & Furious Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Wheels, and Engine Audio for 1000 Credits. Content themed after iconic droids BB-8, C-3PO, K-2SO, and R2-D2 will be available in the Rocket League Item Shop from 5 until 17 May and includes:
The STAR WARS Droid Bundle – This bundle features a Decal for the Fennec (C-3PO), Octane (R2-D2), Dominus (K-2SO), and Takumi (BB-8) cars, four Wheels (C-3PO, R2-D2, K-2SO, and BB-8), two Toppers (R2-D2 and BB-8), the R2-D2 Player Anthem (also available separately), and the “Droid” Player Title for 2200 Credits. Psyonix, the San Diego video game developer, announced today that Rocket League Season 10 begins on March 9 AEDT! The new Rocket League season will feature a new Rocket Pass including the Volkswagen Golf II GTI, Arena variant, and more.
Season 10’s Rocket Pass features the Volkswagen Golf II GTI, an iconic fast driving hatchback. Players who get Rocket Pass Premium will immediately unlock the in-game Volkswagen Golf GTI (Octane hitbox), and have the chance to unlock an upgraded Volkswagen Golf GTI RLE as they level up in the Rocket Pass. AC Milan is the first European Club to have content added to Rocket League, and the AC Milan X PUMA X KOCHÉ Pack will include an AC Milan (PUMA x KOCHÉ) Octane Decal, an AC Milan (PUMA x KOCHÉ) Dominus Decal and AC Milan (PUMA x KOCHÉ) Wheels, available in the Item Shop for 550 Credits. The items will also be sold separately and will be available in game from March 8 through March 21.

Psyonix will be partnering with Cochise, most famously known for his huge hit song “TELL EM”, for this year’s Rocket League Neon Nights in-game event beginning on January 25! Neon Nights will include Event Challenges with Cochise-themed items, Cochise Item Shop content, the return of two Limited Time Modes (LTMs), and Golden Moons. Licensed by Warner Bros. Epic Games today announced the next Llama-Rama, an epic crossover event to bring Fortnite and Rocket League players together to celebrate the end of Season 2 in Rocket League and gear up for Season 3!

Today ESL Australia and Psyonix announced the ESL Rocket League Oceanic Championship, a new online tournament series that will offer players across the Oceanic1 region the chance to compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Set to run until April 2021, each match of the tournament will be broadcast live from the ESL Studios, Sydney, to Rocket League fans across the world.
The tournament will be broken up into three ‘splits’ (‘stages’) played across August 2020 – April 2021, with each split offering up a prize pool of $75,000 USD between the top 8 teams of each event. The top teams from each split will also earn qualification points towards the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) X Majors and the Rocket League World Championship, the pinnacle of Rocket League competition involving the world’s best Rocket League teams.

Psyonix, the San Diego video game developer, has announced that Rocket League is going free to play later this summer! The free to play game update will be the biggest one yet and will include major changes to the Tournaments and Challenge systems. It will also add cross-platform progression for players’ item inventory, Rocket Pass progress, and Competitive Rank, by linking to an Epic Games Account.
Rocket League will also make its debut on the Epic Games Store when it goes free to play. It will be identical to the version on other platforms and will feature cross-platform play with all Rocket League platforms.
Once Rocket League goes free to play, anyone who already owns it on any platform (including Steam) will be able to play the game with full support for future updates and features. However, the Steam version will no longer be available to download for new players.
