MKAU Gaming was invited to check out the new Season 1 of Battlefield 6, and it’s set to deliver a steady stream of new content, keeping players engaged with fresh experiences at regular intervals.

The developers have confirmed that every season will introduce new weapons, maps, vehicles, and modes, all coming completely free to the game. You can unlock cosmetics with the battle pass, with there being free rewards, or if you want to purchase the BF Pro membership, you can access the premium battle pass.

Progression is being divided into four distinct paths, allowing players to choose which rewards to unlock first. Once you’ve completed the four paths, a fifth path opens, which gives you the flexibility to progress the battle pass how you want.

The season is broken down into three phases, with the first phase being titled Rogue Ops. It begins on October 28th and will introduce a large, outdoor map called Blackwell Fields, inspired by California and designed with all-out warfare in mind. It’s set to be an absolute blast.

Alongside the new map is a new gamemode called “Strikepoint”, which is an intense 4v4 mode where two teams fight over an objective, and once eliminated, players stay out until the next round. The first team to six victories claims the win.

Rouge Ops also brings some new gear into the battlefield, including the Traverser Mark 2 APC, the SDR-388SC carbine rifle, the GGH-22 pistol, and the Mini Scout Sniper Rifle, as well as two new attachments with the rail cover and an LPVO scope.

The second phase is California Resistance, which is launching on November 18th and adds a smaller close-quarters map called Eastwood, which is set in a Southern California neighbourhood. This phase introduces the gamemode “Sabotage”, which is a limited-time mode where two teams of eight defend and capture caches, scattered around the map, and you switch from attacker to defender each round.

The first team to destroy the highest amount of caches wins. Players will have access to new weapons, including the DB-12 shotgun and the M357 Trait pistol, along with the Troy Angled attachment, and a new pickup called Battle Pickup, which allows you to access high-value weapons and ammunition to destroy your opponents.

The final phase of the season, Winter Offensive, arrives on December 9th, and it brings a seasonal twist to Empire State with a new name, called Ice Lock Empire State, and again introduces a limited-time event called Icelock.

You also get access to a new melee weapon, which is an Ice Climbing Pick. The developers did mention there is more coming, but they’re keeping it under wraps for now in the third phase of Season One.

Looking ahead, Season 2 is scheduled to be deployed in the new year and promises more maps, modes and fresh content, ensuring Battlefield 6 continues to evolve and provide exciting gameplay for its community.
