Since its release, Two Point Museum has nailed the blend of creativity, chaos, and a touch of comedy, offering players a management-based simulation that never takes itself too seriously. It has super-easy gameplay, clever humour, and an ever-expanding variety of exhibits; it’s the kind of title that keeps surprising you.
The latest addition to the Zooseum DLC is no exception, bringing an entire animal-themed expedition map packed with weird, wonderful and wildly entertaining discoveries. If you want to read the base game review and the first DLC coverage, you can find them on our MKAU Gaming website.
As I mentioned before, the Zooseum DLC introduces an all-new expedition map themed entirely around wildlife, prehistoric predators, and creatures that probably will not be near the public eye.
There are 40+ animal-inspired exhibits for you to collect and display in your museum. It took me a little while to get used to seeing animals you would expect in a wildlife park or a zoo in a museum, as it’s not something we see in Australia, but it could be different elsewhere.
Much like the previous DLC, a brand-new class of expert is being added: Zoological Experts, specialists required for the new expeditions.

The Zoological Experts are broken down into four subclasses, which are Handlers, Biologists, Tamers, and Wranglers, each of which has their own perks, allowing you to tailor the expedition’s crew for better capture rates and safer retrieval missions.
The expeditions take you to the Farflung Isles, which, once upon a time, were a vibrant ecosystem that is now struggling with a weird flu, commonly known as the Farflung Flu. Your main goal is to heal, care for, and eventually release the animals.
Returning fans will see a familiar face with the eccentric Kudoshillionaire, Wiggy Silverbottom, who has opened the gates to his stately manor, granting us access to turn it into a wildlife sanctuary or, more like a museum that houses animals, which I guess turns into a Zooseum.
I learnt quickly that you need to make sure you have the correct biomes selected for the animals, which you can choose from five, and that this requires constant attention, as every creature, big, small, slimy, or mildly terrifying, has very specific needs.
It also works in your favour as you can earn Sanctuary Points, which boost your stats around the Zooseium and also help with adopting and protecting more creatures, or if you’re like me, more animals than you would like will meet their maker.

The animals are not the only new addition to the game; there have been some new guests added, which could be the new selfie-obsessed wildlife bloggers, which was a cool little addition to the game.
There is a new animal pattern helicopter skin added, and a collection of interactive displays, habitat-style decorations and some new utility items, including a new animal hospital, so you can help any of the animals that might be injured or sick, which was cool to see.
I would have loved to put the wildlife habitats outside to create a museum and zoo in one for the ultimate experience for the guests, but everything had to be inside, which was a little weird. Hopefully, we can see that as a future update. I would also love to see some Australian-themed animals added in there to make it feel more like home.
Overall, the Zooseum DLC for Two Point Museum is a wild and wonderful expansion that adds a fresh layer of charm, chaos, and creativity to an already entertaining management sim. With its unique animal-themed expedition map, 40+ new exhibits, and the introduction of Zoological Experts with specialised subclasses, there is plenty to explore and do.
