The Mothman Equinox At Point Pleasant in the Forest region of Appalachia, Beholder Clarence waits at the top of the Mothman Museum. With the Steel Dawn update for Fallout 76, we were reintroduced to the Brotherhood of Steel as they made their way back into Appalachia, and in turn, saw conflict rear its ugly head amongst their ranks. The quest lines that came with it were a whole lot of fun but ended in a way that left you wanting more, leaving the story feel unfinished. Fortunately, Steel Reign is just around the corner, and being the group’s biggest Bethesda Fanboy, I jumped at the opportunity to interview Jeff Gardiner, the Project Leader, and Mark Tucker, the Design Director on the upcoming release. Locked & Loaded, the newest free update for Fallout 76, is live now for all players. The update kicks off Season 4 with a brand-new Armor Ace themed Scoreboard and introduces highly-anticipated community features including S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts and C.A.M.P. slots, as well as expanding Daily Ops and additional quality of life improvements. S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts One of the most common requests from the community is now a reality. S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts enable players to completely reset a character’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes allowing for quick, on-the-fly build overhauls. Beginning at level 25 players can create and save custom S.P.E.C.I.A.L. point allocations and Perk Card assignments, and then switch between them. To swap Loadouts, edit Perk Cards, or S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points, simply visit a Punch Card Machine. Punch Card Machines can be built in C.A.M.P. or found at Train Stations around Appalachia to make changes on the go. Players can have up to two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts per character.

Released today for Fallout 76, The Inventory Update kicks off a new year of upcoming content, improvements, fixes, community requests, and so much more for the ever-growing online RPG. Stash Increase The Inventory Update addresses one of the most frequent requests from the community, highlighted by a whopping 50% increase to player Stash to a maximum of 1,200 pounds. Players can fill it up to their heart’s content with gear, Junk, and anything else they come across in the wasteland. Pip-Boy Updates The Inventory Update also includes UI improvements and updates to the Pip-Boy. Three new tabs are added to the Pip-Boy Inventory menu: “New,” “Armor,” and “Food/Drink.” New – This tab will keep track of all the items players gather during a play session, sorted by newest to oldest. The Brotherhood of Steel planted their flag in Appalachia last week with Steel Dawn, the latest free update to Fallout 76. Steel Dawn is the first chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel questline, adding new NPC’s, new locations to visit, C.A.M.P. Shelters for expanded building options, new weapons and armor to earn, and much more. Steel Dawn is free and available now for all Fallout 76 players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as well as on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility. Fallout 76 players should also race to get those last few Armor Ace slots on the S.C.O.R.E. board completed before the new Season kicks off on December 15, bringing 100 new ranks to earn.

Bombs Drop Day is here and to celebrate Fallout 76 is free-to-play across all platforms this week! Players will be treated to limited-time in-game events including a Legendary Vendor Sale, plus a limited Fallout 1st preview, game sales, discounts for Atoms packs and more. Free Play Week From October 20 through October 26, players can hop into Fallout 76 and play the game for free! This includes the base game experience, as well as Wastelanders and Nuclear Winter. Players can jump in from the start of the game, and if they decide to purchase the game when the Free Play Week ends, all progress will carry over, and so will any Atomic Shop purchases made during the week.
