Crytek Announces That Hunt: Showdown’s New Map, DeSalle, Is Available On Live PC Servers Today & On Xbox & PlayStation Platforms Early August
Hunt: Showdown’s brand-new map, DeSalle, is officially available on PC, as of today; and on Xbox and PlayStation networks in early August, following a soft launch on the test servers. The map brings a fresh new setting to the game, giving players 16 new compounds to explore. DeSalle joins the other maps of Stillwater Bayou and Lawson Delta. The main difference in the map compared to the others is the way gameplay is focused vertically, along with more routes to the compounds and gameplay approaches. Upper DeSalle and Lower DeSalle – the map’s two main compounds — intertwine with one another to give the map a Wild West feel – players can even charge through the swinging doors of a saloon and much more. There are not only cities to battle it out in but also a mansion, a quarry, and a prison along with many other settings. The map so far ...

Hunt: Showdown Out Now On PlayStation 4 & Microsoft Xbox
Crytek and Koch Media happily announce that the highly acclaimed online multi-player bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown is now available physically and digitally for PlayStation®4 and physically for Microsoft Xbox®. Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the creatures who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt’s quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The ...

That community, says Hunt Producer Fatih Özbayram, was integral to the game’s development process. “Hunt: Showdown’s development has been completely community-driven, and that has been such a rewarding experience for the entire team.
