Two Point Museum is one of those games that hooks you in without you realising what you are doing. You sit down for the night thinking: “I will just tidy up a couple of things. Maybe place a couple of exhibits or send a couple of expeditions out.”
Then you look up, it’s 2:00 am, and now you’re in trouble with your significant other for not being in bed. That’s why we love Two Point games: they’re chaotic, funny and addictive. Since launch, the game has already been packed with updates, free content, and seasonal additions that keep everything feeling fresh. We’ve been given a copy of the new “Arty-Facts DLC” to check out. This DLC leans heavily into that creative side, which I sometimes lack.
If you would like to check out the full in-depth game review, you can check that out (here). We also checked our first DLC and previous update (here) and (here). For now, you can stick around and get Artsy with me.
I’m one of those people who will stand in a gallery looking at a piece of art on a canvas, have it explained to me in great detail, and still not see what everyone else is seeing. Anyway, Arty-Facts in Two Point Museum throws you into a new museum location called “Undee Docks”, which I’ll admit my immaturity hit straight away, because it sounds like the kind of place you’d visit once, only to immediately lose your sense of direction and dignity.

Regardless, the DLC still retains that classic Two Point vibe of “this is definitely a functioning workplace, don’t question it too hard” feeling. It all looks great on paper, but then you get into the thick of it, and it’s actually controlled chaos with a pretty little gift shop.
The new role in the DLC is “Art Expert.” It feels less like a job title and more like a personality test. The main responsibilities include curating art, running the new Art Studio, and standing around looking thoughtful enough that the guests assume you understand modern expressionism.
But that’s just 70% of the job. The remaining 30% is preventing the museum from turning into a paint-related workplace accident. You will also need to send staff to “Zara’s Sketchbook.” This new expedition map basically felt like outsourcing inspiration to the universe and hoping it doesn’t send back something emotionally unsettling. Sometimes you get something genius back. Other times, it looks like it was sketched in the middle of a panel attack. It’s a gamble, really.
Most people like new content (and I’m the same) and the developers must know their fanbase is demanding because there are 27+ new art exhibits, including some cool parody pieces (which I needed to Google with my limited art knowledge), but you have Two Point Gothic and The Persistence of Dairy which it’s a reason I enjoy these games as they grab something culturally iconic and remix it just enough for you to sit there questioning if you’re being educated or gaslit by a videogame – I’m happy either way.
On top of the new art exhibits, we have also been given new gift shop items, themed cafe pieces and a bunch of decorating bits that let you turn your museum into a working wonder.

There have also been five interactive displays added, which are genuinely a nice touch because guests stop and interact more than just taking a selfie, posting it online and making it look like they’ve completed a civic duty.
The highlight to me was the “Art Studio Room” where you can create some original pieces, and I use “create” loosely, because depending on your staff team, you might get something genuinely beautiful… or something that looks like it was emotionally assembled after three bad decisions, a couple of drinks, and a spilled paint bucket.
Either way, guests will apparently “feel emotions”, which is the only way I can describe modern art without committing to anything specific. I like the job listing for “Art Experts” as you get a free beret, hazard pay for the inevitable paint disasters, and a salary mostly measured in “exposure”, which honestly is probably right in that industry. Honestly, Arty-Facts doesn’t just add art: it adds chaos. Enough to make you question whether you’re running a museum or just curating organised nonsense with better lighting.
Overall, the Arty-Facts DLC does not reinvent Two Point Museum, nor should it, but it doubles down on what makes it fun to play in the first place: chaotic creativity with just enough structure to make you feel smart while everything slowly falls apart around you.
The new Art Experts, Studio Room and Zara’s Sketchbook expeditions add a genuinely enjoyable creative layer, even if half the time your “masterpiece” looks like it was made in an emotional crisis. The addition of all the new exhibits, interactive displays and themed extras adds that life to the museum. “We gave you art; you made a profit. Please continue”.

The Good
- Fun gameplay
- Great concept on art pieces
- Fun little time killer
- Great new content
The Bad
